20ft or 40ft — which do I book?
Go by the box, not by the weight. A 20ft container goes on a 20ft skeletal and a 40ft needs the 40ft. If the cargo is loose rather than containerised — steel, pipe, long sections — it goes on the flatbed, and the longest single piece is what decides the trailer.
Do you do port runs?
Yes. Container work in and out of port and line haul up and down the peninsula is standard prime-mover work. Give us the container number, the depot and the release or closing time, and the run gets planned around that rather than around the driver’s day.
How do I move an excavator or a machine?
On the low loader. What we need before the day is the make and model, the transport weight, and the height and width once it is sitting on the deck. Those three decide whether it is a straight run or a permit job with an escort — and the week before is when that gets sorted, not the morning of.
