Per trip or per tonne?
Per trip suits a fixed run — one load of crusher run to one site. Per tonne makes more sense when the quantity is what varies and the destination does not. Tell us the material, where it is coming from and where it is going, and we will quote the way that leaves you with fewer surprises.
Can you bring material in and take spoil out on the same run?
Yes, and it is worth asking for. A tipper that arrives loaded and leaves loaded is one movement instead of two, and the price follows that. It only works when both ends are ready on the same day, so it needs saying at booking, not at the gate.
What does a tipper need in order to tip?
Firm level ground and clear headroom. The bed goes a long way up and it goes up before the load moves, so overhead cables, tree branches, awnings and car-park soffits are the first thing to check. Where the discharge point has no headroom, the load gets dropped short at a spot that does and pushed in from there.
